In a horrifying turn of events, the Gadsden, Texas home of Roy Moore accuser Tina Johnson caught fire and burned to the ground on January 2nd.
“I am devastated, just devastated. We have just the clothes on our backs” mourned Johnson. Police are investigating the incident as a possible arson, as both Johnson and a neighbor witnessed a man previously known for public intoxication lurking in the area before and during the blaze.
AL.com reports that “she said a woman neighbor told her that the young man in question approached her as she was getting in her car that morning and asked if she thought Johnson’s house was going to burn. The neighbor didn’t know what he was talking about, she said, because flames weren’t visible at the time.”
“That fire is still under investigation by the Etowah County Arson Task Force. A suspect of interest is being spoken to. But there have been no charges, to my knowledge, related to the fire at this time” said a spokeswoman for the Etowah County Sherrif’s Department.
Tina Johnson accused disgraced Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore of fondling her buttocks during a child custody hearing in 1991. “It’s not just a squeeze. You take every ounce of decency from us” she said to CNN’s Erin Burnett.
She was one of many women who bravely stepped forward to tell their stories during the recent campaign to fill the Senate seat vacated by the appointment of Jeff Sessions to Attorney General, a race which Moore lost.
Her courage helped sink the political aspirations of an accused pedophile and unrepentant bigot Roy Moore – and it’s looking increasingly like she may have been punished for it.
